László Krasznahorkai has awarded the prestigious Nobel in Literary Arts.
This Hungarian novelist was honored "due to his powerful and visionary body of work that, during apocalyptic dread, reaffirms the power of art."
The author has written 5 works of fiction and received numerous further writing awards, including the 2015's Booker International, and the 2013's best translated novel award in Fiction for his initial novel Satantango, a contemporary work about the conclusion of the globe.
Krasznahorkai is the next Hungarian novelist to obtain the honor after the deceased Imre Kertesz, who received in 2002.
Brought into the world in 1954, László Krasznahorkai obtained recognition in the mid-1980s when he released "Satantango", which he transformed for the cinema in 1994.
The black-and-white film, by Magyar cinematographer Bela Tarr, is notable for its 7-hour length.

Krasznahorkai's recent work Herscht 07769 has been called as a significant present-day German novel, due to its accuracy in portraying the land's social turmoil right before the global health crisis.
It is a portrayal of a modern hamlet in Thüringen, Deutschland, troubled by societal chaos, murder and fire-setting.

The main character is elderly Uncle Kada, who has a secret claim to the throne but has made every effort to vanish from the world.
He previously secured the worldwide Booker award.
