Paramount Skydance Plans to Eliminate Nearly 2,000 US Jobs – Report

Paramount Skydance is scheduled to initiate significant workforce reductions during the week starting 27 October, removing approximately 2,000 positions in the United States under a budget-saving initiative worth $2bn overseen by new chief executive David Ellison.

These job cuts follow the combination between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed in August worth $8.4bn.

More overseas workforce reductions are likely, with the company aiming to announce complete information during its Q3 financial results on 10 November.

Previous updates suggested the firm was looking to reduce from 2,000 and 3,000 positions by early November.

Until December 2024, the company retained about 18,600 full- and part-time employees plus 3,500 contract workers.

The organization has not provided a response regarding the report.
