Shocking Video Captures Point Law Enforcement Are Stabbed in Ambush
A senior officer that leaped to the help of a fellow officer who was ambushed by a knife attacker received the Royal Recognition for Valor.
Sergeant Tim Ansell fought with twenty-seven-year-old Jacob Brown subsequent to he placed a knife to the throat of his fellow officer Sergeant Marc Foster.
Brown initiated the assault as the law enforcement personnel and their partner, Police Constable Marcus Wolstencroft, were speaking to a motorist following a traffic accident in that location in July 2023.
Brown knifed and cut both Sgt Ansell and Sgt Foster prior to Police Constable Wolstencroft stopped him with a electric weapon.

He ran into the officer who tripped and fell to the street, after which Sergeant Ansell intervened and attempted to subdue him to the floor although being continually attacked with the blade.
Police Constable Wolstencroft drew his Taser and sought a safe opportunity, concluding the struggle to an conclusion.
Sgt Ansell can be heard to say: "Please provide something on my neck here, I got knifed in the throat."
Sergeant Ansell received two lacerations to his throat and further cuts to his limbs and torso, while Sgt Foster received knife wounds.
Authorities said Sgt Foster used his bare hands to stem his partner's bleeding prior to medical personnel arrived.
The latest award comes subsequent to the three officers were granted organizational Courage Honors in fall 2023 and the police federation award from the local officer association in April 2024.
They additionally received a North West Valor Recognition in mid-2024.
"The efforts of each policeman eventually protected themselves and ensured no bystanders experienced any harm."
Brown was given to an indefinite hospital order in spring 2024, per the department.
